July 2 - Williams AZ. Grand Canyon 2-8-2 4960 due to operate the round trip to the Canyon.
July 2 - Chattanooga TN: Tennessee Valley Railway Museum trip to Summerville GA with steam.
July 2 and 3 - Rusk TX: Texas State Railroad, night photo shoot on Friday, and photo excursion on Saturday, including Southern Pine Lumber 2-8-0 #28.
July 22 and various dates - Bryson City NC: Steam powered excursions resume on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad with locomotive 1702.
July 23 - Denver CO: 'Frontier Days' train to Cheyenne and return. Power UP 4-8-4 #844.
August 2016August 6 - Williams AZ. Grand Canyon 2-8-2 4960 due to operate the round trip to the Canyon. For details - Grand Canyon Steam Schedule
August 8 - Spencer NC. N&W 4-8-4 #611 will move from Spencer to Roanoke (non excursion move) for display at the VMT.
August 24 - 27 - Williams AZ. Grand Canyon 2-8-2 4960 due to operate the round trip to the Canyon. Newly restored 2-8-0 #29 will double head the train on the 27th.
August 26 - 28 - Chama NM: 'Narrow Gauge Rendezvous', featuring D&RGW 2-8-0 #315, 2-8-2 #463 and RGS 'Geese' #5 and 7 in various photo freights and static photo sessions.
September 2016September 3 - Williams AZ. Grand Canyon 2-8-2 4960 due to operate the round trip to the Canyon. For details - Grand Canyon Steam Schedule
September 3 - Chattanooga TN: Tennessee Valley Railway Museum trip to Summerville GA with steam.
September 7 - Roanoke VA. N&W 4-8-4 #611 will move from Roanoke to Spencer NC (non excursion move) for special events and maintenance at the NCTM.
September 10 and 12 - St Paul: NON STEAM fund raiser for #261 trip from St Paul to Chicago on 10th and returning from Chicago on the 12th with 'premier' cars including Super Dome #53 and Skytop lounge 'Cedar Rapids' attached to Amtrak service. MILW #261 will NOT be operating on these trips.
September 10 - Los Angeles CA. CANCELLED AT&SF 4-8-4 #3751 to head a round trip one day excursion to Barstow via Cajon Pass.
September 10 and 11 - Chattanooga TN: Tennessee Valley Railway Museum 'Railfest'.
September 17 - Williams AZ. Grand Canyon 2-8-2 4960 due to operate the round trip to the Canyon.
September 17, 18 and 24, 25 - Akron and Independence OH: Nickel Plate 2-8-4 #765 will operate 'Steam in the Valley' excursions along the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, from Akron twice on Saturdays and from Rockside Station, Independence Ohio twice on Sundays.
September 24 - Williams AZ. Grand Canyon 2-8-0 #29 due to operate a round trip to the Canyon departing Williams at 7am. No detraining permitted at South Rim on this 'Man vs Machine'special.
September 24 - 25 - Spencer NC. N&W 611 will travel to Danville VA for the Danville Rail Heritage Days. These will not be excursion moves.
October 2016October 1 - Williams AZ. Grand Canyon 2-8-2 4960 due to operate the round trip to the Canyon. For details - Grand Canyon Steam Schedule
October 1 - Los Angeles CA. CANCELLED AT&SF 4-8-4 #3751 to head a round trip one day excursion to San Diego.
October 1, 8, 15, 22, 23, 29, 30 - Chattanooga TN: Tennessee Valley Railway Museum trip to Summerville GA with steam.
October 7, 8 and 9 - Minneapolis: MILW 4-8-4 261 to power trips on Friday with a dinner train from Chanhassen, on Saturday to Glencoe Minn., and on Sunday to Norwood and Gibbon or, depending on time, Winthrop Minn. on Sunday.
October 8, 9 and 15, 16 - Port Clinton PA: Reading & Northern / Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway excursions with 4-6-2 #425.
October 13 - 31 - Cheyenne WY. UP 4-8-4 #844 travelling from Cheyenne to Memphis in October for the Harahan Bridge event October 21-23. November 25/26/27 - Hollidaysburg PA: Everett Railroad 2-6-0 #11 due to head 'Santa's Express' from Hollidaysburg to Brookes Mills.
November 26/27 - Portland OR: SP 4-8-4 #4449 due to head 'Holiday Express' from the Oaks Station at 7805 SE Oaks Park Way.
December 2016December 3 - Scranton PA: Baldwin 0-6-0 No. 26 is expected to power a special train carrying Santa with stops at Carbondale, Archbald, Jessup, Olyphant, Dickson City and Steamtown. For details - Lackawanna Heritage Valley Steam
