August 4, 5 Yacolt WA - 1929 ALCO 2-8-2T excursion on Chelatchie Prarie Railroad. August 12 Redmond OR - Mount Emily Shay #1 steam excursion from Redmond. August 17-22 Calgary, Alberta - Minneapolis. CP 4-6-4 "Hudson # 2816 dep August 17 from Calgary, Alberta. Overnight stops will be made in Swift Current and Broadview,Sask. and a one-day layover will be made in Winnipeg. Then via the former Soo Line main line, an overnight stop in Thief River Falls, MN arriving in Minneapolis at CP Shoreham Shops on Aug 22.

August 21-25 - Chattanooga Rails 2007, the 2007 National Railway Historical Society convention. August 22 - 26 Durango CO - 9th annual Railfest. Presidential special, Goose #5. #315 will not run. August 23 UP 4-8-4 #844 Cheyenne dep 9am to Denver Union Station arr 12noon. August 24 UP 4-8-4 #844 Denver Union Station display 8am to 5pm. August 25 Chama NM - moonlight special on Cumbres & Toltec to Osier, dep Chama 3pm. August 29-30 Minneapolis to Chicago. CP 4-6-4 "Hudson # 2816 dep August 29 from Minneapolis with overnight stop in Milwaukee. Then onwards to Chicago Union Station on August 30.
August 29 - September 1 - Portland Maine - National Narrow Gauge Convention. Four operating two-foot Narrow Gauge Railroads are located from within 5 minutes to 2 hours from the Convention hotel.
August 31 - September 3 Connersville Indiana - Flagg Coal Co. 0-4-0T No. 75 will operate various excursions. August 31 This is the last day of steam operations on the Mt Hood Railroad - Oregon.

Then onwards on September 5 from La Crosse to Minneapolis on CP mainline.

September 7-9 Fort Bragg and Willits CA - 'Celebration of Steam' special trains with #45 2-8-2. September 8 UP 4-8-4 #844 Wichita Layover and display 8am to 5pm. September 8 CP 4-6-4 "Hudson # 2816 round trip excursion from CP Shoreham Shops in Minneapolis along the ex-Soo Line main line to Glenwood, MN. At Glenwood 2816 will turn on the former Soo Line turntable.
September 8 and 9 Boone NC, Tweetsie Railroad, narrow gauge annual Railfan Weekend with locos #12 and #190 in action. September 9 Steamtown - Scranton PA to Tunkhannock Viaduct excursion, expected power CP 4-6-2 #2317.
September 9 CP 4-6-4 "Hudson # 2816 round trip excursion from CP Shoreham Shops in Minneapolis along Soo Line route to Sault Ste. Marie with a round trip to Dresser, WI turning on the wye at Dresser.
September 9 UP 4-8-4 #844 Wichita dep 8am to Enid.
September 14 and 15 Duluth - ex-Soo Line 4-6-2 #2719 excursions from Duluth (dep 1030) to Two Harbors and return.
September 14 - 16 Bryson City NC - Great Smoky Mountains Railroad Annual Railfest. Visiting locomotives will include Flagg Coal Co #75 steam locomotive, a 1930 Vulcan 0-4-0 saddle tank engine. September 15 UP 4-8-4 #844 Waurika to Chickasha. September 15 CP 4-6-4 "Hudson # 2816 and MILW 4-8-4 #261 double-head on round trip excursion from Minneapolis to La Crosse WI.
September 15, 16 Yacolt WA - 1929 ALCO 2-8-2T excursion on Chelatchie Prarie Railroad. September 16 - 22 CP 4-6-4 "Hudson # 2816 returns from Minneapolis to Calgary, with overnight stops at Thief River Falls, Brandon, Manitoba Moose Jaw,Sask. and Medicine Hat Alta. A one day layover is planned in Winnipeg, arriving in Calgary on September 22. One-way excursions available.

September 21 - Alamosa CO - Trains Unlimited photo passenger special scheduled for ex SP 2-6-0 1744 over La Veta Pass.

September 22, 23 - Phillipsburg, New Jersey - Susquehanna 142 2-8-2 Chinese Class SY. Saturday dep. Phillipsburg 11:00, 12:30, 14:00, and 15:30. Photo Freight 17:00 - 22:00. Evening and nighttime runbys. Sunday, September 23: dep. Phillipsburg 11:00, 12:30, 14:00, and 15:30. September 24 UP 4-8-4 #844 North Platte dep 9am to Cheyenne.
September 23-24-25 - Nevada Northern, Ely NV - steam photo shoots. Cancelled September 26-28 - Durango CO - Trains Unlimited special trains on Durango and Silverton. Currently proposing one round trip with D&RGW #315 2-8-0 Durango to Silverton on September 26, returning from Silverton on September 27. An extra return trip Durango to Cascade and return MAY run on September 28. This is all subject to #315 testing which is reported to be complete.
September 27 Prineville OR - Mount Emily Shay #1 private charter steam excursion from Prineville.

October 5-7 - Byesville, Ohio. Byesville Scenic Railroad Fall Steam Weekend and Coal Miners' festival. Power will be ex CPR 4-6-2 #1293. On Friday October 5 steam trains at 5 and 7:30 p.m. On Saturday 1293 will run at 11 a.m., 1, 3, 5 and 7 p.m. Sunday steam trains run at 11 a.m., and at 1 and 3 p.m.
October 6, 7, 13, 19, 20, 21 Freeport IL - Silver Creek & Stephenson Railroad, 1912 36 ton Heisler runs several times in the year. The track is 1.7 miles in length and the train operates over ex-Milwaukee Road right of way. Along with the Heisler is a Milwaukee Road bay window caboose, two open cars, and a wood caboose from the Burlington that dates back to the late 1800's. October 6, 8, 13, 20, 21, 27 Steamtown - Scranton PA to Moscow excursion, expected power CP 4-6-2 #2317.
October 6, 13, 20, 27 - Chattanooga TN - Tennessee Valley Railroad 2-8-0 #610 on Chattanooga to Summerville 100 mile round-trip.
October 6 and 7 - Kawkawlin MI - Bluewater Michigan Chapter NRHS and the Steam
Railroading Institute will run two excursions from Kawkawlin, Michigan to Grayling with ex-Pere Marquette
2-8-4 #1225 on ex-Michigan Central Railroad tracks. October 6 and 7 Minneapolis. MILW 4-8-4 #261 daily round trips to Winona and La Crescent.
October 6 and 7 Rockhill PA - East Broad Top Fall Spectacular, scheduled to include steam locomotive #15. October 7, 14, 28 Steamtown - Scranton PA to Tobyhanna excursion, expected power CP 4-6-2 #2317. October 8 - Hill City SD - Trains Unlimited steam special on Black Hills Central.No longer scheduled on TUL website
October 13, 14 Yacolt WA - 1929 ALCO 2-8-2T excursion on Chelatchie Prarie Railroad.
October 13, 14 Baker City OR - Sumpter Valley Railroad Fall Foliage Photographers' Specials. Two historic steam locomotives will be pulling authentic to the era freight and passenger trains through the beautiful fall colors of Eastern Oregon's scenic Sumpter Valley.
October 13, 14 Reports suggest that #425 will not be ready for these trips - they will be diesel. Port Clinton PA - Reading & Northern Railroad plans to operate Blue Mountain & Reading 425, 4-6-2 on two fall foliage excursions from Port Clinton (dep 9am) to Jim Thorpe, PA and return, a distance of 33 miles one-way. October 20 - Chama Steam VI photofreight. (Night photo shoot on October 19). Three locomotives from Chama to Cumbres on October 20, one road engine, one mid-train helper and one pusher with up to 40 car freight train, then to Osier. Double headed on return from Osier. Many runbys.
November 2007November 3, 4 and 10,11 Bonsal NC - Flagg Coal Company 75, 0-4-0T will be doubleheaded with New Hope Valley Railway 17, 0-4-0T, trains departing the Bonsal Depot on the regular schedule at 11:00 AM, 12:15 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:45 PM, and 4:00 PM each operating day. November 3, 4, 10 - Chattanooga TN - Tennessee Valley Railroad 2-8-0 #610 on Chattanooga to Summerville 100 mile round-trip.
November 4 - Oakdale CA. Pacific Locomotive Association is reported to be sponsoring a doubleheaded steam excursion over the Sierra Railroad from Oakdale to Cooperstown and back with Sierra No. 28 and Virginia and Truckee No. 18,.
November 5 Strasburg PA - photo freight with Strasburg RR’s #31repainted to it’s original CN 7312 plus CN#89..
November 10 Hartford Wis. - Soo 2-8-2 No. 1003 will pull a special Santa Train on the Wisconsin & Southern from Hartford, Wis. to Ripon, Wis., for display from 8am. to 10.15am. Children will be able to visit Santa in a caboose pulled by the 1003. The engine will then return to Hartford for another display from 1 to 3.30 pm.
December 2007December 1 Chama NM - annual Chama Christmas train departs 10am. For details - Cumbres & Toltec
December 1/2, 8/9, 15/16 Owosso MI - Pere Marquette 2-8-4 #1225 on 'North Pole Express' departs 10am and 4pm.
December 7-9 Portland OR - Holiday Express event at Oaks Park with SP 4-8-4 #4449.
December 8 Antonito CO - annual Antonito Christmas train departs 10am.
December 14-16 Portland OR - SP&S 4-8-4 #700. Reports say loco will move from Brooklyn Roundhouse to North Portland Junction area on Friday, then travel to Vancouver WA for BNSF event on Saturday morning, returning to East Portland later on Saturday. It will be on display in East Portland on Sunday until later in the day when it will retrun to Brooklyn with 4449.
December 14-16 Portland OR - Holiday Express event at Oaks Park with SP 4-8-4 #4449.
